Customer Charter
Most people worry about purchasing a waterbed, as it is a
product about which they have little knowledge. Many of our customers who now enjoy
the comforts of flotation sleep, have told us of the doubts they experienced before buying
a waterbed, and of how happy they have been since, with the many advantages to their
health and comfort associated with their purchase.
To allay these doubts, we at George Street Waterbeds Ltd.
have introduced our Customer Charter to reassure our prospective customers. Please
feel free to call us at any time with any queries you may have.
- We are members of the British Waterbed
Association, and all beds sold by us are guaranteed to meet or exceed the
stringent specifications of the Association. The Director
of George Street Waterbeds Ltd. has served on the Board of the BWA, and has helped to set
their high standards.
- Our fitters are exceedingly experienced, very
thorough, and will go out of their way to ensure your total satisfaction. We always
fit the beds ourselves, and do not rely on factory installers, from another part of the
country.
- George Street Waterbeds Ltd. offer to all purchasers of a
waterbed a 90 day call out facility, totally free of charge. The purpose of this is
to ensure that the fill level of your waterbed is completely right for you. Bearing
in mind that sometimes it can take several nights to settle into a waterbed, we are happy
to call back to make sure that your bed is completely comfortable.
(It has never taken longer than three weeks, and mostly two visits suffice, including the
installation, but we want you to have the peace of mind knowing that free service is
available).
- Many people feel that having to choose a waterbed mattress
during their visit to one of our showrooms can be difficult. We do our best to help
and have a selection procedure that is exceptionally effective, but we are also aware that
during the first few weeks of waterbed ownership, your perception of our mattress movement
can change quite considerably. With this in mind, providing our mattress selection
procedures have been adhered to, we will change the mattress to the one of your choice.
- Only the best components available are used in our
beds. With 15 years experience behind us, we have the depth of knowledge which
enables us to pick premium components from all over the world. During our time in
business we have found this to be far and away the best policy.
- Two year full warranty on all beds. The mattress is guaranteed
against seam failure for five years, and the heater also carries a five year
guarantee.
- As time goes by, and your tastes
change, it is very possible that you may wish to change your waterbed. With
soft siders this can be achieved by putting a frame around it or by changing
the headboard or pedestal; or possibly you may prefer to upgrade, or
to purchase a different
style or colour. Our Danish Akva range of waterbeds, which are also
soft siders, are available in beautiful oiled beech, mahogany, lye treated
beech and natural finishes with headboards and surrounds available in
literally dozens of different shades of leather.
- Should you want further beds in your
household a discount of 10% will be given.
- As most of the beds we sell are by personal recommendation,
should you recommend anyone to us which results in the sale of one of our waterbeds, we
will be very pleased to send you a token of our appreciation. Please let us know
when you are sending someone to see us.
- Service Contracts are available. You can
have your waterbed serviced once a year, on a mutually convenient date. This
includes the addition of water conditioner, the application of external
mattress conditioner, a heater output check and any air bled from the
mattress.
- We also offer a first class maintenance
service for our existing customers, as well as moving beds, both within the
home, and to different locations.
We think this is the best backup service in the
